Denver Neighborhoods
The City of Denver has many unique and wonderful neighborhoods. Denver real estate is comprised of an eclectic mix of 79 distinct neighborhoods ranging from apartments and condominiums downtown and in the metropolitan areas to single family detached homes in Denver’s suburbs to luxury homes in exclusive gated communities. Here is a brief list and description of some of Denver’s neighborhoods. Follow any of the links to read more about the rich history of each neighborhood.
Bonnie Brae, whose name means “Pleasant Hill,” was designed to look like a small Scottish village. The neighborhood is characterized by curved streets, a circular central park, and Cape Cod, English Tudor, and Ranch style homes. Bonnie Brae also includes residences built in the Art Moderne architectural style of the 1930s, which utilized bands of highly-polished materials and glazed terra cotta, and the International style of modern architecture, which focuses on asymmetrical composition.
Cherry Creek: Cherry Creek is the place to live, work, shop, and play. Already an inviting, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, Cherry Creek keeps getting better as new families, businesses, and upscale shops move in, drawn by the area’s irresistible charms…
Capitol Hill: It takes all kinds to make a vibrant neighborhood and Capitol Hill is defined by nothing so much as by diversity. This is no squeaky clean, mixed-use, New Urbanism creation, but rather a genuine big-city district with roots that run deep into Denver’s first decade of existence.
Hilltop:Noted for quiet, tree-shaded streets, charming period architecture, and lush parkways, Hilltop lies adjacent to Lowry, a new mixed-use community featuring shops, restaurants, and theaters.
Cherry Hills Village, one of the nation’s most elegant suburbs, is also among the safest. A tranquil, rustic community of gently rolling hills, mature trees, sumptuous mansions, bridle paths, and gravel roads, Cherry Hills Village numbers among the ten wealthiest suburbs in the country. Here, it has been said, “gravel roads are a matter of deliberate choice rather than a lack of funds.”
Denver Country Club One of city’s most cherished neighborhoods is also among the most scenic. Nowhere else in Denver does the canopy of 100-year-old American elms spread quite so magnificently over tiled rooftops and broad parkways as it does in Country Club….

Park Hill: Designed to showcase Mayor Speer’s City Beautiful program, Park Hill, located on high ground east of City Park, remains one of the most coveted neighborhoods in Denver. Shaded by stately American Elms, Park Hill’s exquisite thoroughfares: 17th Avenue, Forest, and Montview parkways, are among the most beautiful in the city.
Washington Park:A haven for cyclists, walkers, and joggers, Washington Park also hosts soccer leagues, volleyball tournaments, and flag football on its lush playing fields. Washington Park is truly the heart and soul of this wonderfully scenic and cohesive neighborhood where all are welcome to experience the urban outdoors at its absolute best.
